Americans with Disabilities Act (ADA)
Symbol of Accessibility (ISA) Administrative Directive 97-01 entitled “Responsibilities for Americans with Disabilities Act Coordination and Implementation” indicates that the State of Hawaii, as both an employer and operator of government programs and services or benefits is committed to equal access for individuals with disabilities. It includes naming the Disability and Communication Access Board (formerly known as the Commission on Persons with Disabilities) as the ADA Coordinator for the Executive Branch of State government. As part of that continuing ADA coordination effort, this web site is developed and maintained by the Disability and Communication Access Board. Information included on this site serves as an ADA resource for State and County ADA Coordinators in Hawaii.
